Hammond Lake

Hammond Lake is a 640 reservoir that makes up half of the Tioga-Hammond Lakes complex. Hammond is primarily known for its exceptional crappie fishing, but anglers can enjoy a variety of warm water species including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, hybrid striped bass, walleye, perch, catfish, bullheads, carp, and bluegills.

Hammond Lake currently holds the state record for crappie with a 4 lb 2.88 oz black crappie caught in 2000. Still today, many nice crappies are caught every year. Gizzard Shad offer an abundant food source and large schools are common throughout the lake.

Boaters can access the lake at two public launches and there is no restriction on horsepower or boat size.
