Hills Creek Lake is a 137 acre impoundment located at Hills Creek State Park, less than 10 miles from Wellsboro.
Hills Creek Lake is a warm-water fishery and anglers can enjoy catching largemouth bass, chain pickerel, sunfish, crappies, perch, and the occasional walleye. Stocking of muskies ended in 2005, but a few still roam the lake as well
Anglers can expect to find a variety of natural fish habitat including stumps, timber, weed beds, and lily pads.
Boating is limited to electric motors only and boaters can access the lake at two public launches.
Hills Creek Lake is a premier ice fishing destination and is one of the first lakes in the region to freeze every year.
